Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my pet to the market?

We love your pets, but the farmers market must comply with local and state health codes. This means that pets are not allowed within 20 feet of booths that sell food.* Friendly pets are welcome. Dogs should be on a short lead. Pet owners are responsible for their animal’s behavior and waste cleanup. Come chat with us at the info booth if you have questions or concerns.

*Guide and service dogs are an exception. See CA Health & Safety Codes, Section 114371 (D) for more details.

Is the market year-round or seasonal?

We’re here every Thursday, rain or shine, year-round. Closed on Thanksgiving Day. The market may be cancelled for extreme weather.

Are you affiliated with the Sunday farmers’ market?

The Thursday and Sunday farmers markets are run by different organizations. The Ojai Community Farmers Market is a non-profit 501(c)3, operated by a board of local community members. Check out more about our mission here.

Do you accept nutrition assistance programs?

Yes! We accept SNAP, WIC, and SFMNP. See us at the information booth to swipe your card and get tokens to spend with our vendors. We also participate in Market Match which doubles up to $20 of nutrition assistance dollars spent at the market on fruits and vegetables.

Do I need to bring cash?

All of our vendors accept cash and Market Money. Some vendors accept credit cards, Venmo and Apple Pay.

What is Market Money?

Market Money are tokens that are purchased with credit cards or Apple Pay at the information booth and are the equivalent of cash and are accepted by all vendors at the Ojai Community Farmers Market.
